This message focuses on two powerful prayers by the Apostle Paul in the book of Ephesians (1:17–20 and 3:14–20). Paul prays that believers would receive deep spiritual revelation from God—about who He is, their calling, their inheritance, and especially the power available to them through faith in Christ. This power is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

Paul’s first prayer (Ephesians 1) emphasizes understanding this divine power that lives in all who believe. The second prayer (Ephesians 3) goes further, asking that believers be spiritually empowered through:

  1. The Holy Spirit strengthening their inner being

    • This refers to our “inner man” (our spirit), which is continually renewed by the Spirit of God, even as our physical body declines.

  2. Christ dwelling in their hearts through faith

    • Paul isn’t just talking about salvation, but about allowing Christ to truly live as the source of strength, direction, and life in us.

  3. Being rooted and grounded in the love of Christ

    • Paul prays that believers would grasp the vastness of Jesus’ love, be filled with it, and let it overflow into the world around them. This love is unshakable and isn’t based on performance or perfection.

Paul reminds us that God’s power is at work within us, enabling us to do far more than we can ask, think, or imagine. Believers are encouraged to let the Spirit renew them, let Christ be their source of life, and let His love flow through them into a hurting world.

Core Message of the “Prayer of Spiritual Power”:

  • Seek daily revelation from God through His Spirit.

  • Allow the Spirit to strengthen your inner life.

  • Let Christ fully dwell in your heart by faith.

  • Be rooted in God’s love, trusting that nothing can separate you from it.

  • Live in the power of God within you, which exceeds your imagination and empowers you to fulfill His purpose.

“Let the Spirit strengthen you, Christ dwell in you, and His love fill and flow through you—this is the essence of spiritual power.”
